Hi there! I'm Simone Brooks, Voiceover Artist Extraordinaire! I create voice art beyond your wildest dreams from the Earthly realm of my professional home studio.  My equipment is top-notch, and my skills are both adept and ever-evolving.

 

In my life, I've been a website developer/SEO specialist, IT professional, adjunct professor, small business owner (in both fashion and homestead herbal remedies), small farmer, home schooling teacher to 5 adorable babes on the autism spectrum, a butcher, a baker, a candlestick maker (no joke. Ask me about my sourdough starter and homegrown beeswax candles!) and so much more. I sew, craft, read and bake. I love clever comedy, creative stories, and my 6 backyard hens that lay more eggs than we can handle. Oh, and my children. Did I mention my children? You should really meet my children.

I learn *way* too much about health and nutrition, in order to self-identify and work toward healing the many chronic illnesses from which I and my family suffer (I figured out my life-long "wakefulness struggle" was due to Narcolepsy at age 39, and when my doctor confirmed it, he was so impressed he asked me where I'd gone to medical school. I don't think Hard Knocks U counts...)

While wearing this infinite number of hats, I've made sure to let no opportunity for growth and achievement pass me by. My life-long passion for learning has served me well, and enabled me to excel at most things to which I put my mind.

When I was 14 years old, my dream was to become an editor for one of the major publishing houses. I couldn't think of any better way to get paid to read books. At some point in my collegiate career it became eminently clear that the publishing industry was a pauper's path, and I chose a new one. However, like many others during the pandemic, I discovered VO and realized that my childhood dream did not have to die! And just like that, an artist was born.
